Protest against FUTA VC continues and forces Police to step in.

Police officers have been deployed in the premises of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), following agitations for the removal of the institution’s Vice Chancellor, Adebiyi Daramola, by labour unions. According to a report on Premium Times, Daramola who was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday, October 5, but later released, allegedly abused his office and mismanaged the school funds.
Police officers have been deployed to FUTA following agitations for the removal of the institution’s VC, Adebiyi Daramola, by labour unions.
However, the decision by the anti-graft agency to release Daramola has been greeted with extreme repugnance by the school unions, as they protested his release.
