The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has issued out procedures on hostel registration and proper allocation of rooms.
The management of the institution, FUTO has outlined progressively, guidelines for students seeking accommodation in the schools hostel. This is to enable new and returning students of the institution get a place to lay their heads for the semester, in a stressless manner.
The procedure for registration and subsequent allocation of rooms will be done online. Students will need to generate hostel allocation payment invoice, which will be used to pay their hostel rent (either NDDC or other hostels) before subsequently allocating them to a particular room in the hostel of their choice.
Payment of hostel accommodation will be in the school’s microfinance Bank. Upon successful payment, student will be required to visit the portal and login with their account details to print allocated hostel fee e-receipt.
Guidelines for Payments and Registration.
Step I: Visit the University website “www.futo.edu.ng”
Step II: Click on the link “Portal”
Step III: Enter your username and password and click on the Login button.
Step IV: Click the hostel allocation menu
Step V: Click on ‘Get Hostel’
Step VI: Generate Hostel Allocation payment invoice.
Step VII: Select Hostel type (NDDC or Other Hostels)
Step VIII: Print your payment invoice
Step IX: Proceed to FUTO Microfinance bank for payment with the generated payment invoice
Step X: After successful payment in bank, return to the portalwww.portal.futo.edu.ng and login with your account details to print allocated Hostel fees e-receipt.
Step XI: Print the allocated room on the receipt and proceed to Student Affairs unit for further clearance.
Returning and new student of the University, FUTO, are to obtain accomodation spaces in time before they will be all occupied. Note that no space will be reserved. Remember, first come, first serve.
